More than 200 years ago our Founding Fathers left us with a legacy of freedom that we, with the passage of time, often take for granted. But it was not the Founding Fathers that guaranteed our freedoms. It was those patriots who were willing to fight – and all too often die – to protect and preserve our liberty.
The spirit of the American Revolution lives within all veterans and there is a strong bond among all who serve. Although few soldiers entrenched on the front lines understand the machinations of Washington politicians, most men and women who serve are keenly aware that they represent our country and all for which it stands.
To pay tribute to those patriots who have given us so much, there will be a reunion of all veterans recognized in the Veterans Circle of Honor Memorial and their families and friends at the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church. The event will take place on Sunday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
There is no admission charge for this program and all are welcome to attend.
