We did not have any events in June, but we will be back in July with our Horse Stick Race on July 21 in the San Tan Ballroom at Cottonwood. Members and non-members, come join us and have fun at this event. You will be able to place a wager for each race, which goes into the pot and will be awarded to the winning horse at the end of each race. A DJ will be spinning tunes for dancing between each race. A cash bar and abbreviated Cottonwood menu will be available. You will be able to register and pay online at www.funlakers.org.
On July 1 the new board members will be joining the team. There are still some open positions that need to be filled, so if you are interested, please contact one of the people on the board with your information and what you would like to do.
Throughout the summer, Euchre will continue to meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, at 6 p.m. Mexican Train meets every Monday evening at 6 p.m. in the Cottonwood Game Room. Texas Hold’em is the third Saturday of every month in the Poker Room (A-3) in Cottonwood next to the Arts & Crafts Room.
