Do you crave the applause of a friendly audience? Would you like to share a funny joke or show off your good vocal pipes? Well, you may have a chance to join the list of performers who have already volunteered to entertain us. The Sun Lakes Talent Show Experience already has 13 local acts signed up, but we do have room for two more. Contact us ASAP by email at [email protected] and let us know what your talent is. It is going to be a blast, so you don’t want to miss your chance to shine and go home with a trophy and maybe a cash prize.
The date for the Audition Show is Wednesday, Feb. 15, and the Grand Finale is Saturday, Feb. 18. Both shows are in the San Tan Ballroom at the Cottonwood Country Club in Sun Lakes.
Here is a list of our current stars willing to perform for us: Bob Pasch, “A Tribute to Bing Crosby;” Jo Birlin, “Just Clowning Around;” Gary and Sheila Bross, “Singing Sweet Violets;” Donna and Rick Commo, “The Commo’s Band;” Daniel Sell, “Guitarist Singer Songwriter;” Michael Grady, “Magician;” Sally Holberg, “Comedy Singer;” Jessica Klebanow, “Singer;” Lisa Leger, “Guitar Original Music;” Sam Luse, “Piano Songs for Reminiscing;” Nancy and David Patterson “Behind Closed Doors;” Natalie Cruz and Bruno Gonçalves, “Singer Songwriters;” and Barb Hyder, “Vocal Connection Chorus.”
We had information booths at our three Sun Lakes Community Open House events. There was a lot of enthusiasm for the show, with over 150 people signed up for early ticket sales notification. We also had three talent acts ask to be considered, and one more sponsor came forward. All money received from sponsors will go to the winners as cash prizes.
Information for purchasing tickets will be advertised in December, with a projected cost of $15 for a combined entrance to both shows or $10 at the door for each show. If you would like to get an early ticket sales notification by email, send us an email to [email protected] with “tickets” in the subject area and we’ll send you purchase information before it is printed in the Splash newspaper or The Flyer.
Come join the fun and experience our local talent.
