Your favorite small bookstore, which is run by the Friends of the Robson Library, is in need of book donations. All of our collection of books or media is made up of donations by people like you who are readers and want to support our local public library. The bookstore is maintained by FOL volunteers so that the money we earn can be used to benefit the library and for community outreach.
We have just sponsored a talk by Marshall Trimble, the renowned Arizona historian and raconteur, which was presented free to the public. We are also supporting the library book club by providing extra copies of their book selections for their club members. Activities such as these are only possible because of the money we earn in the bookstore.
At the moment, we are especially in need of paperbacks, but we also accept hardcover fiction and donations of non-fiction books in several categories such as history, biography, religion, self-help, cooking, travel, sports, health, art, and DYI. We also have jigsaw puzzles, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks for sale, and we have begun to offer selected magazines. We do not accept textbooks or large quantities of back issues of magazines.
Our books are modestly priced at 25 cents each, except for audio books, jigsaw puzzles, and newly published books. Our bookstore is located in the back corner of the Robson Library on Riggs. To donate books, just stop by the library and put your donations in the big blue donation container near the bookstore.
We are in the process of bringing out our selection of Christmas books, so don’t forget to check them out. Your support of the bookstore through donations or purchasing books is greatly appreciated.
