Debi Loofburrow
At our first meeting of this season, our guest speaker was Gary Rait. He discussed sewing machine inventions and how he restores machines and cabinets. Members shared what they worked on over the summer. Our education chair has secured three classes this fall—members can learn how to make a fabric-wrapped rope bowl with Viki Reed, a poinsettia wall hanging with Marita Reed, and a yoyo Christmas Tree with Shari Davison Lundine.
On Oct. 4 our guest speaker will be Karen Fisher, Aesthetics for Quilters, discussing “Why we choose the quilts we make.” If you are interested in becoming a member of Agave, please contact president Betty Bogaard at [email protected] or Loy Rheinauer, membership chair, at [email protected].
Agave Quilters Guild is open to new members of all skill levels. General meetings are held September through May on the first Wednesday of each month in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes 1 Country Club. We look forward to welcoming you to our Agave Quilt Guild, the original Sun Lakes Quilt Guild since 1995!
