Mary Scala
How many members and friends of PAL remember the stuff you learned in elementary school? I don’t remember much about it, but I do remember being in a play where I was a nurse and I had to wear a nurse’s uniform. I wasn’t very good; hence I didn’t become an actress.
Now this leads me to my masters (the board of directors). They think I can write something so great that at least 50 people will want to become members of PAL. That is so silly and I have to work very hard to ignore them. However, that doesn’t stop them from brow beating me. I really don’t know what to do about them.
Well to tell the truth we are a great group of people excluding the board of directors. We enjoy the Opera, the Coffee Classics and the Theater. This month we will see The Magic Flute, Anything Goes, Carousel and Chopin and Grieg.
If any of this sounds good to you, send a check for $10 if you are single or $15 if you are a couple to PAL at P.O. Box 13051, Chandler, AZ 85248. When you become a member you can get on a bus to the theater and then back to Cottonwood and your waiting car for $20.
If you love the opera you can call Vera at 480-895-9679 for more information. If coffee classics and symphony music is your love call Lynn at 480-883-0671 for more information. And if musical shows are your choice call Mary at 480-802-9354.
In closing I will leave you with some information you really don’t need. During the month of January 1911 a record 390 inches of snow fell on Tamarak, California. Do you think that’s good enough to get 50 new members? No! I guess not.
