Ellen Maurer and Kay Wengert, two members of the IronOaks Tennis Club, will be competing in the USTA Southwest Sectionals in Surprise, Ariz., Sept. 13-15.
They play for Pam Kinney’s 55 and over women’s doubles 7.0 team, winning their league and allowing them to advance. Kay and Ellen were undefeated playing together during the regular season.
Riki Sadosky and Kristina Traylor, also IronOaks Tennis Club members, will be competing in the USTA Southwest Sectionals in Albuquerque, N.M., Aug. 9-11. They play for Lorie McKinney’s 18 and over women’s 3.5 team, Sweet Shots.
Should either or both of their teams win at Sectionals, they will advance to the USTA National Championship, representing the Southwest, to be held in November.
