Agave Quilt Guild

Mary La Tourelle

Although we don’t hold guild meetings June through August, that doesn’t mean that club members are inactive. In addition to our own projects, many of us are busy working on projects to sell at our Nov. 9 Boutique, which will be held in Sun Lakes Country Club’s Navajo Room. The Oakwood Sewing Room is available from noon to 4 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month through October for anyone or group who would like to work on Boutique items. And our summer newsletter, available at agavequiltersguild.com, provides a list of possible projects.

Carol Rainey is working on potato bags, Judith Crumpler made microwave bowls, the Sew Fun Sisters Friendship group has made a number of items, Faith Bragg has collected several Christmas projects, Jean Hedberg embroidered Christmas towels, and others are working on various projects. Be sure to mark your calendars for this event and get some unique gifts for people on your Christmas list.

Visitors are welcome to attend any of our meetings, which are held on the first Wednesday of the month, September through May, at 1 p.m. in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club (25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd.).
