On Aug. 21, 96 golfers braved the sweltering heat in excess of 105 degrees to participate in the Mulligans Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament, a day of fun, competition, and philanthropy, to support Neighbors Who Care.

The tournament kicked off with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start featuring a mix of scramble and shamble formats. Participants enjoyed optional games of closest to the pin, longest drive, and longest putt, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day. A small luncheon was provided at Mulligans following the tournament. Local businesses, Mulligan’s vendors, and individuals donated food for the luncheon, as well as items for the raffle and silent auction.

Other community members joined the celebration following the tournament to take part in a raffle, a 50/50 drawing, and silent auctions, raising additional money for the cause.

Thanks to the unwavering support of the participants, community members, and donors, the tournament successfully raised $6,238 for Neighbors Who Care.

Mulligan’s Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament was not just a day of golf. It was a testament to the power of Sun Lakes community spirit and the impact of collective efforts in making a difference. Event coordinators Shannon D’Ambra, Charlie Gee, and Marci Koppelmaa hope that as the event grows in popularity, it promises to become a staple in the local calendar, bringing people together for a great cause each year.
