What a great way to end our fall season with a repeat appearance at the USTA Southwest Section Championship!
Although the team did not advance to the National Championship (this time!), the tough competition from New Mexico, El Paso, and Southern Arizona is helping us get ready for our upcoming spring season. The most astonishing thing about this team is that it is composed of 50% Cottonwood members and 50% IronOaks members. And these women also compete in six (yes, six!) different Valley of the Sun teams—quite the collaboration and an example of true team spirit. With some new members and our new captains Bonnie Greco and Diane James, a name change from Sandbar may be forthcoming, but our motto remains the same: To the Bar!
