If the success of the first-ever Casino Night is measured by how much fun everyone had, the Fun Lakers knocked it out of the park! Guests tried their luck with “professional” gaming tables, enthusiastic dealers, and popular games like poker, blackjack, and roulette. Payouts were made with tickets that could later be used to enter raffles for multiple gift baskets. This is an event that will definitely be offered again!
It was another full house at Comedy Night, with comedian George Kanter as the headliner. If you want to laugh until your sides hurt, be sure you don’t miss the last Comedy Night of the season in April!
The board is busy interviewing and selecting new members for the 2025-26 season. There are lots of opportunities to serve and volunteer on the board or at the events, and we encourage everyone to get involved.
And, finally, here is the line-up of the remaining events of the season to put on your calendars:
Wining, Dining, and Dancing
Thursday, March 13, 5 to 9 p.m.
There will be random seat assignments again this year, giving you the opportunity to not only meet up with old friends but also make some new friends while enjoying wine, dinner, and dancing to the tunes of the band Johnny K & Kompany.
Golf Cart Rally
Saturday, March 22, 3 to 8 p.m.
This afternoon of fun is one of the most popular events of the year! Grab your friends and a cart to participate in this scavenger hunt where you hunt for clues along the route and play some games along the way. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers, and you get to end the day with a delicious Mexican Fiesta buffet.
Comedy Night
Thursday, April 3, 5:30 to 9 p.m.
There is nothing better than a good belly laugh, so do not miss this popular evening.
Game Night
Saturday, April 26, 5:30 to 9 p.m.
A member favorite, Ray Rodriguez will once again host another Game Night with contestants selected from the audience.
Dance Party
Thursday, May 15, 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Be sure not to miss the final dance of the season, with music provided by Johnny K & Kompany.
Unless otherwise noted, all events are held at the San Tan Ballroom in Cottonwood with a cash bar and limited food menu available.
