CTC Genders Tournament Captures Attention

Dannette Hunnel

The first Cottonwood Tennis Club (CTC) tournament of 2025 took place Jan. 26 through Feb. 2. The weeklong tournament was a mix of outstanding performances, hard-fought battles, and a few surprise comebacks, proving that in any competitive sport, anything can happen! Spectators were in awe witnessing long matches and impressive endurance. It was thrilling to see a few first-time trophy winners, and it was very important to note that 3.5 player Barb Jorgensen won her division seven years in a row. Way to go, Barb!

Off court, all players and members in attendance were treated to daily tasty meals and a mid-week happy hour. Our remarkable club knows that even as opponents on the courts, we are all good friends and willing volunteers off the court.

Kudos to those who lent a helping hand throughout the week with food, photos, set-up, tear-down, and overall support of our 33 doubles teams.

Cottonwood Tennis Club members look forward to more club and community involvement and all around more fun in 2025.
