The IronOaks Breakers Pool League annual banquet was a great success this year, with more than 50 people in attendance. A good time was had by all.

A nice meal was followed up by 10 door prizes being given away, including billiards lessons donated by Babe Thompson, club shirt embroidery donated by Big Stitch Embroidery, Stone & Barrel gift cards, and many other nice prizes. Nick Swerdloff was the winner of the raffle for the $850 cue stick, which was generously donated by Peggy Mallen of OG Billiards. A big thank you goes out to all who helped make our banquet a lot of fun this year.

Gene Cole stepped down as our past president. Gene thanked the outgoing board members and game managers for their service and introduced our new president Jack Cameron. Thank you, Gene, for all that you have done for the Breakers over the past few years to keep our organization running smoothly. We welcome Jack as our new president, along with the new board members and game managers. We look forward to another great year of fun and friendship.

Last month we held our Welcome Back 9-Ball Tournament. The final playoff held in the Pool Room was between Wayne Newman and Joe Pallay. Several members showed up to watch the playoff, which had many interesting shots and strategies. After some intense play, the winner of the tournament was Wayne Newman who won the showdown 7 games to 5. Congratulations to both players for their outstanding performance. Prizes were awarded by Sonny Williams, our tournament director.
