At press time, the Lady Sluggers were halfway through their 2025 season with a record of 7-7. Based upon a minimum of 25 at bats, Trudy Hall led the team with a batting average of .813, followed by Nancy Butler (.786), Holly Hall (.758), and Grace Alvarado (.721). Terry Finley topped the team with 25 singles, while Grace and Cheryl Jolin led in doubles with six each, and Grace also led in triples with four. Four players slugged homers: Grace Alvarado, Holly Hall, Trudy Hall, and Crystal Schoenhals. Thanks to scorer and statistician Lynn Tanner for compiling the numbers.
The Sluggers’ final home games at the Field of Dreams are on Monday, March 3, versus Sunland Village East. Following the doubleheader, there will be a cookout for both teams and their fans. The doubleheader starts at noon, with the cookout starting a little after 2 p.m. In addition, tickets for our annual social event will be on sale during the games. The April 1 social event tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased with cash or checks.
