All Are Welcome to Visit the Woodcarvers

Carvings by Steve Cullen

Dianne Winenger

You might notice carvings by Steve Cullen in the window at Cottonwood. Steve was at the Desert Woodcarving Show in Mesa in February. He has helped youngsters there learning to carve soap and encourages them to create their own masterpieces. Steve is amazing in his creativity, from carousel horses to automobiles. He carved an eagle from bark and uses a variety of wood materials. We all share ideas and instruction with everyone who joins the group each week and would be there to help any newcomers who are interested in this endeavor.

We meet every Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Ceramics Room at Cottonwood. There is no fee, and you only need a knife and a safety glove. We welcome anyone who enjoys art or just learning a new hobby and meeting new friends.

For more information, please contact Margaret Ryan at 480-802-6535. All are welcome!
