Paddy Newton, Kathryn Campbell, Rachel Rainville, and Tracy Rice are the winners of the Cottonwood Ladies Golf Association’s 2025 major tournaments. Paddy is this year’s Handicap Champion, Tracy and Paddy won the Partner’s Tournament, and Kathryn is our 2025 Club Champion. We have two examples of “peat and repeat.” Paddy is a double winner by being involved in two majors this year, and Kathryn repeats as Club Champ two years running. All are proud of these achievements.
Zara Logan, CLGA president, announced the membership approval of amendment to our by-laws on Rules of Conduct. The amended Rules of Conduct include a step-by-step disciplinary procedure for infraction. It would seem that we have grown older and wiser only to have forgotten kindergarten lessons: Share the sand pile and be nice to one another.
We also celebrated seven 20-Year Service Awards: Nadine Sanders, Marilyn Mitchell, Rita Healy, Rose Hames, Nancy Hermanson, Mary Ann Lofquist, and Ruby Meyer. All were presented with ball markers recognizing their longevity in the club.
The club-provided luncheon of fried chicken, potato salad, snacks, cookies, and included adult beverages hit the spot!
