Origins of the PGA Champions Tour:
The 1937 Senior PGA Championship was the last senior event played until Jimmy Demaret organized the Legends of Golf at Onion Creek Club in Austin, Texas, event in 1978. It was a competition between two member teams. This started the next chapter in the lives of professional golfers. Not a bad back nine!
