MOGA June Results, July Events, and Assorted News

As the summer golfing season kicked off, MOGA saw an incredible display of camaraderie, competition, and skill among its members. Each week brought a new blend of team dynamics and individual successes, with golfers testing their mettle across a variety of formats. From partnerships forged on the course to individuals striving for personal bests, a good time was had by all.

Howie Weiss will be holding a Cha Cha master class before the event so that everyone can brush up on their cha cha-ing. Dancing shoes are required. No tutus, please.

MOGA would like to thank Mike Meyer and Jin Deitemeyer for their years of hard work and their patience and expertise at herding us cats as Oakwood Starters. Mike and Jim have finally retired from their golf dream jobs, and both plan to spend more time on the golf course as civilians. We thank them both for their patience, professionalism, and always working to make the Oakwood golf experience a great one for every player on the course.

MOGA would also like to thank the IronOaks board for approving an overhaul of the bunkers on the Palms and Sonoran Courses. This is a large undertaking that is an occasional part of maintaining every golf course, and we look forward to avoiding our brand-new bunkers by the beginning of the fall season.
