A representative of the Organized Solidarity Collective will share the organization’s role in helping individuals learn how to take action on immigration issues at the Sun Lakes Democratic Club’s (SLDC) July 14 meeting. The speaker brings 20 years of hands-on experience, including reuniting families torn apart by the first Trump administration as well as those being impacted by recent immigration raids.
Sharing the stage with the Organized Solidarity Collective in the Navajo Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club is the Maricopa County Democratic Party Black Engagement Committee. Patrick Brown, who has served as a Democratic Legislative District Chair as well as on the Executive Committee of the county party, will share the group’s mission to build and elevate Black political influence within Maricopa County.
SLDC members attending the meeting will also hear one of the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) Board members address the status of the bond issue before the board. Attendees will, depending upon whether an agreement is reached on the 2026 State Budget, also receive either a budget update or a candidate update for the August 2026 primary election.
SLDC is made up of like-minded individuals who are part of over 2,500 registered Democrats throughout the Sun Lakes area promoting an Arizona that works for everyone. We invite you to join us at 6:30 p.m. for a social hour, with the meeting starting at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 14, in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club at 25601 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. N, Sun Lakes.
We also invite you to join us the first Friday of every month at 10 a.m. for our First Friday Coffee at Denny’s at 4977 S. Arizona Avenue in Chandler.
We support Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank. Donations can be dropped off at the meeting or made online at matthewscrossing.org. You can receive a receipt for the dollar-for-dollar, tax-deductible donation.
