Coolness Is Coming

Yvonne Orlich

It’s hot—too hot to do almost anything. But It will be cooler soon. And here’s a piece of advice: Be cool! Come join the Sun Lakes Chorale. It’s a cool group. Yes, even us oldies can be cool. September will certainly be cooler than it is here in July. Right now, we feel like we are in an air fryer, but we will be cool in the rehearsal room, and we’ll be thinking cool thoughts as we dig into our holiday songs come early September.

Rehearsals resume on Monday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. promptly. If you are already a member, come early to fill out or return your registration form and pay your dues before receiving your music. If you are not a member but are considering joining, come and sit in on a rehearsal to decide if it is really for you. We welcome new members (Sun Lakes residents only) to fill a few spots, but spots may be limited, so don’t delay.

We will do our best to make you feel welcome and part of this family of music-lovers. We meet every Monday at 1 p.m. and rehearse until 3:30 p.m. (plus or minus a few minutes). New and returning members have until Oct. 31 to sign up. This deadline is to accommodate those who managed to escape the heat this summer—no exceptions!

If you still have questions, speak to any Chorale member. We’re everywhere. As always, more information will be here in the Splash or SunBird News every month. Or you can learn more about us by visiting our website at www.sunlakeschorale.com!
