Cottonwood’s Pickleball Training Program Paying Dividends

Owen D’Net

The Cottonwood Pickleball Club continues to elevate its commitment to player development with two complimentary training programs that have made a significant impact.

The Top Performance classes, designed to refine technique and optimize game play, welcomed 273 students, each benefiting from one and a half hour of focused instruction.

Meanwhile, the Strategy classes, aimed at enhancing tactical awareness and in-game decision making, saw an impressive turnout of 317 students, with each session lasting one hour.

Together, these classes contributed a staggering 727 hours of free training to club members of every skill level.

Considering that professional pickleball training typically costs $60 or more per hour, the total value of these sessions equates to $43,620, a remarkable investment in the growth and development of the club’s players.

Not only do the training classes develop the players’ skills, but they contribute to the sense of camaraderie within the club.

A big thank you to our training team of Paul Nichol, Wanda Siedlecki, Jerry Strom, Steve Jensen, Jeff Dunn, Kim Layher, Janie Blake Zunino, and Bob Heilshorn.

Never played pickleball? No problem. Our Orientation classes provide a welcoming introduction to the game so new members feel confident and connected from day one.

So, come on out and join the 467 people who share a passion for the game and, best of all, the social interactions that extend beyond the court. Visit www.slpcc.net for information on how to join the club.
