Native American Spiritual Retreat

Louis Blue Cloud Baca

Louis Baca

Are you curious about or would like to learn more about Native American spirituality and how you could integrate aspects of it into your life? Native elder Louis Blue Cloud Baca, a member of the Santa Clara Pueblo Indian tribe in New Mexico, can provide you with such an opportunity.

There are 19 individual Pueblo Indian (Native American) tribes in Northern New Mexico. Each pueblo’s unique cultural traditions and continually spoken ancient language can be traced back over a thousand years to the “Ancient Ones” who once lived in Chaco Canyon. Chaco Canyon is an ancient and little-known mega pueblo located in the sparse and arid northwestern corner of New Mexico that existed for 400 years, approximately 800-1100 AD. It was built as a magnificent spiritual and cultural trade center, and at its peak, the multi-storied center constructed by our ancestors was on par with the Mayan people and the temples they constructed in Peru. Anthropologists have documented that the cosmological knowledge our ancestors possessed was far beyond the awareness and knowledge of those settlers who subsequently invaded our lands.

Today that spiritual and cosmological knowledge lives on in the hearts, minds, and souls of the Pueblo Indian people who maintain and practice daily our cultural beliefs and ancient rituals. And now, over a five-day spiritual retreat, you have the unique and life-changing opportunity to personally experience a peaceful, meaningful, and spiritually fulfilling lifestyle. You will gain the knowledge of how to communicate with the Great Spirit, having spiritually experienced and practiced it while in the presence of ancient yet contemporary Native American culture, led by an authentic Pueblo Native elder.
