Announcing the Greater Sun Lakes Community Foundation’s annual Gala event: It’s a Candy Cane Christmas. Jan Hawkes and the Foundation friends are arranging an elegant formal dinner/dance to be held on Sunday, Dec. 14, at the San Tan Ballroom in Cottonwood Country Club. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. with a cash bar, and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. featuring chicken cordon bleu, followed by live music and dancing by the Thaddeus Rose Band, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $70 per person, which includes tax and tip, and will be available online starting Oct. 3 at our website slcommunityfoundation.com.

This formal Gala is our biggest fundraiser of the season, and as in past events, we will be featuring a fabulous array of classy, donated raffle baskets and unique silent auction items, along with our “Crystal Bowl” for cash and check donations. All proceeds will support our mission, which is “to enhance the quality of life for residents in the Greater Sun Lakes area in the areas of health, education, and culture.”
