Ladies, are you looking for a fun and social nine-hole golf league? How about joining the Cottonwood Lady Niners? We golf Thursday afternoons at the 1 p.m. shotgun start, playing both fun games and play-your-own rounds of nine holes and alternating between the front and back nine of the Cottonwood golf course. We welcome golfers of all abilities and skill levels, and ladies from all phases of Sun Lakes are encouraged to check us out. After golf, we enjoy social time on the patio at the restaurant, rehashing the day’s game and making new friendships.
Want to try us out? We are offering interested ladies an opportunity to join us with a “test drive” one-time trial day where you can play with our group for just your green fees without paying the membership and annual golf fee. We welcome back our returning snowbirds and can’t wait to catch up on everyone’s summer adventures. Our first play day is Nov. 6, and it is a “step aside” scramble. Be sure to sign up on Chelsea. If you haven’t done so already, please renew your annual membership on the Niners website at cottonwoodnine.azgolf.org. For members who don’t pay the annual golf membership fee, our league leadership was able to negotiate our nine-hole fee as follows:
November and December: $37.50
January, February, and March: $45
April: $37.50
May: $30
It should also be noted that Cottonwood and Palo Verde will be switching from Chelsea to the Jonas system to sign up for golf in the next few months. Continue to use Chelsea until a formal announcement of the switch-over is made.
