Come let us experience and enjoy together a Christmastime celebration of eating, shopping, singing, and learning at Sun Lakes Women’s Connection on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m. in the Oakwood clubhouse ballroom, 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., Sun Lakes, Ariz. We will have the opportunity to shop from some local women-owned businesses, hear a program with live music, and partake of a deluxe continental breakfast, including beverages, fruit, pastries, scrambled eggs, tortillas, and salsa. Gluten-free will be available upon request. Tickets are $25 (including tax and tip), payable by cash or check at the door.
Sue Thomas, our inspirational guest speaker, will let us eavesdrop on a conversation with her favorite caller in her new talk “Life Lessons Learned Through Conversations.” Sue, originally from Illinois, has been a resident of Sun Lakes since 2003. She taught biology in Arizona, California, Illinois, and Jamaica.
Lori Morgan from Scottsdale was runner-up in the Ms. Senior Arizona Pageant twice, winning the Talent Division and Miss Congeniality award. She directs and produces the Spice of Life Senior Variety Show at the Chandler Center for the Arts every March. Lori will be our musical special feature in her rendition of “Winter Wonder.”
The Keyboard Connection ensemble will welcome you with their tunes of the holidays, under the direction of Jeanette Cline.
A few local small businesses will be selling their wares an hour before and an hour after the morning’s program, so arrive early to shop! You will love products from the Love, Sustain, Refill Shop with their non-toxic home and body care items, the Sweet and Savory Bread Company, Pam’s Pinup Earrings, Cheryl’s Glass and Ceramic creations, Color by Grace oil paintings, and delicious home-baked and organic products from the Creme de la Baa Farm.
