Italian-American Club News

Steve Ambroso

Ciao!

The Sun Lakes Italian-American Club (SLIAC) will be having a dinner meeting on Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Oakwood ballroom, next to Stone & Barrel restaurant in Sun Lakes. Doors open at 4:45 p.m., dinner is at 6 p.m., and the theme will be “Mobster & Goombata Night.” This was a very popular theme last time to get the mobster/goombata costumes out and “cut a rug” on the dance floor. Tom Lagravinese will be the entertainer/singer/impersonator again this year. The cost for dinner will be $29, and annual membership is $20. The RSVP and payment deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 28. No reservations or payments will be taken after this date—very important!

If you are thinking about joining the club and want to check us out, feel free to come to the dinner meeting at a cost of $29 (for dinner). When you join the club, there is a $20 annual membership fee that covers you from October through May. We meet monthly to “preserve, honor and promote Italian heritage, customs, and traditions.” If you are a member and on our monthly mailing list, you will receive an email with RSVP info around the 10th of the month. RSVP is a must so we can give the caterer an accurate head count.
