The PVMGA kicked off the 2025-26 new calendar year in November with a full schedule of events, starting with a Pick Your Partner 1 Best Ball event. The next week’s ladies and men’s challenge (Battle of the Sexes) was canceled due to weather, so the men must hang on to the losers trophy for another year. The next week was a 2-Man Scramble followed by the annual Turkey Shoot, another Pick Your Partner leading into December, with the Ace of Aces Finals on Saturday and Sunday.

There were 32 players in all who were awarded “Turkeys” for being Closest to the Pin on the par 3 holes. Fortunately, a player could only win one turkey.
