The Sun Lakes Republican Club will feature “Advancing Liberty” with international speaker, author, and professor of Constitutional Law Shane Krauser at its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Mirror Room of Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd., Sun Lakes. You will also meet two of the candidates for Congress in our district, Jay Feely and Daniel Keenan. This is your opportunity to hear one of our most requested keynote speakers! Our mission is “Promoting an Informed Electorate Through Education.” Light desserts will be provided to enhance your evening’s enjoyment.

Please note that we will be meeting in a different room this month due to circumstances beyond our control. Unfortunately, the Mirror Room accommodates fewer people than our average attendance. To avoid disappointment, please arrive early for seating, which is “first-come, first-seated.”

Shane Krauser is arguably the most dynamic speaker and educator on liberty and the U.S. Constitution in the country. He will be presenting our choices around liberty versus a progressive ideology. Which one advances real freedom and prosperity for the most people? Which school of thought is solidified in our charters of freedom, the U.S. Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence? You will be entertained and engaged from beginning to end!

Shane was a trial attorney for 14 years, serving both as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney. He has also testified before the U.S. Congress. As a former radio talk show host, Krauser has shared the stage with many key political figures. He has also appeared on several radio shows, including The Hugh Hewitt Show and The Blaze. The author of three books, Krauser has had more than 3,000 speaking engagements around the world, including Canada, Mexico, and Peru. He has taught at the Phoenix and Glendale police academies and is the current Director of Veritas Debate Academy.

Candidate for Congress Jay Feely spent two years as a financial advisor with Wealth Enhancement Group before playing 14 years in the National Football League where he earned multiple “Man of the Year” honors. After retiring from football, Jay became a nationally recognized voice as an NFL analyst for CBS, earning five Emmy Awards. Jay supports American innovation and entrepreneurship through angel investments and business leadership. In 2012 Jay and his wife Rebecca founded the Feely Family Foundation to support causes focused on youth, education, and encouraging the American dream.

Without the benefit of a college degree, Daniel Keenan experienced firsthand the hardships faced by many blue-collar families. Determined to support his family, he took on multiple demanding jobs, including warehouse labor and agricultural work. In 2014 Daniel founded DK Builders, a residential construction company that has successfully built more than 100 homes and created hundreds of jobs. His experience overcoming economic challenges has reinforced his commitment to conservative principles of fiscal responsibility, limited government, and strong community values.
