The Sun Lakes Lady Niners love to play golf. The 2025-26 golfing season, which was scheduled to begin on Nov. 4 at Sun Lakes Country Club, was delayed due to course closure. The season opening round occurred on Nov. 11.

The Lady Niners golf at Sun Lakes Country Club on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. (10 a.m. during the colder months of December and January). League play runs November through April. The monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month after golf.

A few reminders are in order as league play begins: 1) You must be a member of the Arizona Golf Association (AGA) in order to play in the league. Annual member dues are $45. 2) The Lady Niners club dues will be $25 for the year, and the Game Day Fund will be $3 per game. The Game Day Fund is in addition to the green fees paid to the Sun Lakes Golf Club. The annual club dues of $25 and the $3 Game Day Fund were effective Jan. 1, 2025.

Since the season opening round was delayed a week and a weather-related closure also occurred in November, there were only two days of league play during the month of November.

The results of the games played during regular league in November are as follows:

11/11/25 – Low Net Dry Holes

Flight 1: 1st Darlene Reach

Flight 2: 1st Rosemary King, 2nd Jan Cartier, 3rd Carol Moser

Flight 3: 1st Jill Gonzales, 2nd Jackie Aagaard, 3rd Joann Brown/Carolyn Matousek

11/25/25 – Blind Holes

Flight 1: 1st Rosie Raisanen

Flight 2: 1st Janice Cosgrove, 2nd Jan Cartier, 3rd Jan Sykes

Flight 3: 1st Celeste Dorsey/Heather Kalin/Jill Gonzales
