It’s February and the month we celebrate Valentine’s Day. This day of celebration has an estimated $25 billion effect on the American economy! It is a huge day for small businesses all across the country, with an especially high impact on flower shops, chocolate producers, and restaurants. We will celebrate here in Sun Lakes HOA 2 with special dinners at both Cottonwood and Palo Verde. Get your reservations early, as these events sell out quickly!
Our major project this year is the reconstruction of the Cottonwood pool, and it is well underway. We extend our sincere appreciation to all residents for their patience and understanding as we address ongoing disruptions affecting access to the Cottonwood complex. Work continues to be on time and on budget. Please see the weekly Flyer and In The Know publications for details on the work and current pictures.
While the above-noted project has been the center of attention for several months, it is important to note that our staff has continued with all their normal/routine activities, including golf course maintenance, common area maintenance, building maintenance, and regular pool maintenance.
Another major event took place in January, and that was our annual Safety Day. There were more than 20 vendors, groups, and organizations present to discuss all sorts of safety issues, community resources, and opportunities. A big thank you to Chairman Mike Rogers and his Safety Committee for another successful event!
