It’s Time to Join the Fun Lakers Social Club!

How are your New Year’s resolutions working out? If your intention was to expand your social life, then joining the Fun Lakers Social Club may be just the right thing to do. Membership is just $15 per person per year, and it allows you to receive early notice of events and reduced ticket prices. The club provides entertaining events of all sorts where you can reconnect with old friends and make new ones. If you want to get involved, there is plenty to do by volunteering to help with the events or by taking a position on the Fun Lakers board. The Nominating Committee is actively looking for members who are willing to volunteer to serve on the board. Contact anyone on the board or go to the website www.funlakers.org for more information.

“Stick” Horse Races

Saturday, Feb. 21, in the Cottonwood Ballroom

Remember playing horsey with these when you were five years old? Well, we have reinvented the fun for adults. You can bet on your favorite jockey or volunteer to be a jockey yourself. It is hilarious, and you might make a few bucks. There will be a no-host bar and limited dinner menu available. Check the website for details.

Golf Cart Rally

Saturday, March 28

This is one of our most popular events—our take on a scavenger hunt. Enjoy the lovely weather riding around in your golf cart while you guess which house on your route map matches the clues. We always end with a party, and prizes go to the top three winners. This year we are starting at Sisk Park in Palo Verde.
