The Sun Lakes Republican Club will feature “The State of Maricopa County” at its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Navajo Room of Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd., Sun Lakes, AZ 85248. The public is invited to hear from our keynote speaker Sheriff Mark Lamb, candidate for U.S. Congress, and our Maricopa County District 1 Supervisor Mark Stewart. Please bring your neighbors and friends. Our mission is “Promoting an Informed Electorate Through Education.” Light desserts will be provided to enhance your evening’s enjoyment.
County Supervisor Mark Stewart will kick off the meeting with his presentation on “Maricopa County: Where We Are and Where We’re Headed.” Mark will offer a brief recap of 2025 and then present his vision of what he hopes will be accomplished during the 2026 session. Stewart is a devoted family man, a successful small business owner, and a passionate public servant who believes the most effective government operates minimally yet efficiently, with the community’s best interests at heart.
Before his election to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Mark served on the Chandler City Council where he championed initiatives that prioritized safe neighborhoods, community engagement, and sustainable economic growth. His leadership focused on creating spaces where businesses could thrive, families could feel secure, and citizens could connect. Mark stands for transparency and rigorous accountability in government, and he will be happy to answer your questions.
Sheriff Mark Lamb is a retired law enforcement officer who served as the Sheriff of Pinal County, Ariz., from Jan. 1, 2017, until Dec. 31, 2024. He previously served with the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community Police Department for six years, where he was recognized as Rookie of the Year and later Officer of the Year, before joining the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office in 2012. As Sheriff, he has seen the dangers of illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and violent crime. In Congress, he plans to make it his #1 priority to keep you and your family safe.
President Donald J. Trump has given Sheriff Lamb his “complete and total endorsement” in this Congressional race. In Congress, Lamb plans to work hard to implement the America First agenda. Lamb has also been endorsed by Turning Point Action, Club for Growth PAC, and U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson.
Lamb gained national visibility through frequent appearances on the television series Live PD and its spinoff Live PD: Wanted. He has been a regular commentator on network news and co-founded Protect America Now in 2021 and launched the American Sheriff Network, a subscription-based video service showcasing law enforcement activities. In October 2024, he joined the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) as a law enforcement advisor to advocate for stricter immigration enforcement.
