The Jewish War Veterans Copper State Post 619 32nd Annual Installation Luncheon will take place on Sunday, March 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The seated event, chaired by Bety Dar, will be held in the Oakwood Country Club ballroom, 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd. in Sun Lakes. Reservations are required.

No conflict in modern history is more misunderstood, and the arguments more misrepresented, than the Arab-Israeli conflict. Featured speaker Meir Jolovitz will list the myths, present the facts, and connect the dots—speaking about the political and geo-strategic implications of a “Two-State Solution,” explaining why it is a pathway to protracted conflict and a future war.

Israeli-born Jolovitz, former director of the Israeli Defense Force, has lectured extensively on various geopolitical and strategic affairs, American Jewish political proclivities, and current issues that affect Israel, the United States, and Western civilization. He also co-hosts a weekly radio Broadcast, Middle East Radio Forum, on Sundays on Patriot Radio.

The afternoon begins with Rabbi Akiva Maki giving the invocation. Next, a presentation of the colors by Hamilton High School JROTC Honor Guard will be followed with “The Star-Spangled Banner” sung by Laura Fial.

After lunch, the 32nd Annual Installation Ceremony of the Jewish War Veterans Post 619 will honor the 2026-27 elected board members. Included are Commander: Julian Wyatt; Senior Vice Commander: Bob Howard; Junior Vice Commander: Arthur Uram; and Judge Advocate: Ron Siegel.

Post Commander Julian Wyatt will then present the following awards to deserving members:

• Person of the Year Award,

• Chuck Wolin Outstanding Volunteer Award,

• Leo Pessin Leadership Award, and

• Jesse Gersten Sustained Excellence Award.

Post 619 members will be honored with membership pins in five-year increments. The longest-serving member is 89-year-old Leo Pessin who joined JWV 71 years ago in 1955.

The deadline for luncheon reservations is March 5. Mail checks for $45 made out to JWV Post 619 to Bety Dar, 25827 S. Greencastle Drive, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248.
