Chordaires celebrate!
Janet Lewis
The Chordaires entertained our audience with a very fun and exciting show on March 28 titled “KORD On the Air: Harmony Showcase.” The show was patterned after A Prairie Home Companion radio variety program. It featured a successful blend of harmonious old-time favorites such as “Turn Your Radio On,” “Daddy Sang Bass/Will the Circle Be Unbroken?,” and “When Will I Be Loved?” Jokes, stories, and commercial jingles made for a complete show that was better than a slice of apple pie on a Saturday afternoon.
The Chordaires wish to extend our deepest gratitude to Sun Lakes United Methodist Church for their generosity in sharing their beautiful facility with us.
We also want to recognize our fabulous actors who brought our performance to life: Judy Wismar Claycomb for her delightful portrayal of Harriet Wheeler (our very own Garrison Keillor) and Barbie Bergerson for her wonderful performance as our stage manager.
The Chordaires extend a heartfelt thank you to our directors Barb and Kirk Hyder and to all our dedicated members. Your hard work created a truly magical blend of harmony for our 44th show season.
The Chordaires are always seeking new members. For more information, visit the Chordaires website at chordaires.org or email us info@chordaires.org.
