The club held its annual Gender Doubles Tournament Feb. 6-10, debuting a new five-day format instead of the usual seven-day stint. This change allowed those also participating in golf tournaments the ability to “do it all”! It’s how we roll in Sun Lakes, right? Keeping busy and enjoying everything our Sun Lakes community has to offer.
After five days of excellent tennis and a total of 62 matches—not to mention five days of food, which is a Cottonwood Tennis Club signature—the results are in!

• 3.5 Division – Women

• 2.5 Division – Women

3.5 Division – Men
Winners: Mike Burdett and Bill Majercsik (due to an injury forfeit)
Finalists: Ron Ryer and Alan Wellard (Too bad … get well soon, Alan! This was a match we were all anticipating!)
3.0 Division – Men:
Winners: Maurice Allen and Dave Rokusek
Finalists: Dave Sobeck and Kurt Sanders. Note: You read that correctly. Both husband and wife Sobeck took home a prize.
