Members and guests of the IronOaks Tennis Club celebrated Valentine’s Day with an energetic and heartwarming morning of tennis and camaraderie on Feb. 14.

The Valentine’s Mixer, held from 10:30 a.m. to noon, featured a social format with random pairings, giving players the opportunity to connect with different partners throughout the morning. The friendly competition and spirited rallies were matched by laughter and lively conversation, embodying the club’s strong sense of community.

Following tennis, participants gathered for lunch and ice cream on the patio where the celebration continued. A special highlight of the afternoon was Carol Mellinger’s homemade Valentine’s cookies, a beloved tradition and crowd favorite, which added an extra touch of sweetness to the event.

The event was organized by Carole Rockland, Edith Tanniru, and Claire Wilcox whose thoughtful planning and warm hospitality helped make the Mixer a memorable success.

The Valentine’s Mixer is one of many social events hosted throughout the season by IronOaks Tennis Club, which continues to blend recreational play, organized competition, and community connection for its members.
