The IronOaks Breakers Pool League’s annual Double-Elimination Partners Tournament was held on March 5 and 6. There were 16 players divided into eight teams of two players each. The players didn’t know who their partner would be or who they would be playing against until just before the tournament started. This was determined by a blind draw.
After some fierce competition and approximately 130 games being played, the winners were as follows: 1st place: John Fossen and Rick Boyd, 2nd place: Jim Boyes and Patrick Guy. Congratulations to the winners and all those who took the time to participate in this fine tournament.
John Fossen and Rick Boyd dominated the winners category and had strong competition in the final game with Jim Boyes and Patrick Guy, who rose through the losers category to play in the final game, which came down to who made the final shot on the 8-ball, which was made by Rick Boyd to win the tournament. Again, congratulations!
