Summer open house for  New Adventures in Learning planned for May 12

Do you have a love of learning? Do you want to gain more knowledge and understanding of our world? Are you interested in history and current social trends? If so you will want to explore the lifelong learning institute New Adventures in Learning.

Plan to attend the New Adventures Open House on Tuesday, May 12 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Sun Lakes Center of Chandler-Gilbert Community College (northeast corner of Alma School and Riggs Road across from the Sun Lakes fire station).

New Adventures has nearly 500 members primarily from Sun Lakes, Chandler and other parts of the southeast valley. Classes are held during the day and are designed with retirees as the primary audience.

Annual membership dues of $50 allow you to take as many classes as you like. If you join now, you will enjoy this summer for free since your membership will not expire until August 31, 2016. That is four semesters of classes for the price of three. Members are automatically enrolled as students in Chandler-Gilbert Community College. The college charges an administrative fee of $15 per semester for those for those semesters you are taking classes.

To become a member you may pick up a new-member packet at the Sun Lakes Center during working hours (Monday–Thursday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) beginning May 4 or stop by during the Open House. Current members will receive their packets by mail.

Descriptions of individual classes as well as additional information about New Adventures in Learning can be found on our website at  www.newadventures.info or by calling 480-857-5500.
