Our CTC Monday women’s spring league included over 20 participants throughout a 12–week time frame. Because our yearly gender and mixed tournaments fell between the twelve weeks, we switched it up a bit. The first six weeks we practiced with our designated partners that we were going to play with in the tournament, and then the latter six weeks, we calculated the scoring.
We continued to play a round robin format with eight games and no ad. You could win up to 24 games in three sets played. Sandy Casale killed it with the highest score in three sets with a total of 21 games. That’s hard to beat.
The 2026 Spring League winners: 1st Toni Reider, 83 games, 2nd Gwen Lucus, 78 games, and 3rd Heidi Henry with 77 games. Congratulations girls.
We also kept track of our aces. Lo and behold, our fun-loving Carol Trentadue did it again. She led with six aces, narrowly followed by Sandy Casale with 5 aces. Nice work.
A shout-out to Tony Reider and Susan Aparicio, my great helpers, for putting together a fantastic end-of-season luncheon on March 30. Thank you for making it very special.
