Save the dates for The Sun Lakes Celebration of the Arts, presented by LAFF (Laughter and Friendship Forever) which will be held over two weekends in January, 2027!
For week one, during the day of Saturday, Jan. 16, in the Sun Lakes Chapel for All Faiths, two exciting musical events will be held featuring talented, top-notch vocal, instrumental, and choral performers, including youth performers from Chandler and the East Valley. Simultaneously, a juried art exhibition will be held in the adjacent Chapel Center building, featuring two and three-dimensional artwork! Save the date and enjoy all three events!
For week two, on Saturday, Jan. 23 and Sunday, Jan. 24, matinee performances of the original, hysterically funny musical comedy, The Key To A Good Night’s Sleep and humorous vignettes will be performed in the comfort of the Sun Lakes Chapel for All Faiths”. Be prepared to LAFF!
LAFF was created as a means for fun-loving people who love to laugh, enjoy life, be creative, and explore new adventures to experience the performing arts together while developing new friendships and sharing Interfaith camaraderie.
Whether you are experienced in acting, singing, or dancing or if performing is something you would love to learn and have it on your bucket list, LAFF is the organization for you! Throughout the year, we plan fun events, performances, and learning opportunities to explore and improve your interests and talents in the arts! Although LAFF aspires to offer our audiences the best in entertainment, we focus on “process” as well as “product”, making sure that everyone is
welcomed, included, and having fun! Our philosophy is that we, personally, need to be laughing, fully enjoying ourselves, and having a great time together, if we want our audiences to do the same!
Join us on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m., at the Sun Lakes Chapel Center at 9230 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. (across the street from Sun Lakes Country Club) when LAFF will meet to hold informal, fun auditions for the upcoming musical comedy and vignettes for The Key To A Good Night’s Sleep. Whether you are interested in performing or helping as backstage support or tech crew, we encourage you to see what we’re all about!
