The Ocotillo Women’s League (OWL) is launching a new season, and we’d like you to be a part of it! Our October luncheon will be Monday, Oct. 19, beginning promptly at 11:30 a.m. in the Oakwood Ballroom located at 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd. It’s always a good idea to arrive early to get a parking place, get registered, and have the opportunity to purchase your 50/50 tickets. And, there’s always lots of friends to catch up with!
This month we are presenting everything about the OWL organization with an Activity Showcase. We will have tables featuring all of the activities that OWL members may participate in, staffed with the activity directors to answer all of your questions. Some of our featured activities include: Book Lovers, Bunco (Day and Night), Canasta, Mah Jongg, Movie Group, and Day Trippers. Community Service members will also be representing the fund-raising and community support activities that OWL engages in. As the OWLs prepare for our 30th. anniversary, we will also have a representative who will provide information on that event. Our Board representatives and our Special Events Director will be available to answer questions. Whether you are already a member or interested in becoming one, this event is a great opportunity to see all that we offer. Our website is: owlsgroup.org.
This month’s buffet luncheon will feature: grilled chicken with a mushroom wine sauce, roasted red potatoes, farmer’s market salad, rolls and butter, and cheesecake for dessert. The cost of the luncheon event is $30 per person. The reservation deadline is Thursday, Oct. 8.
If you are a woman residing in the Ocotillo, Sun Lakes or greater Chandler area and are interested in the Ocotillo Women’s League (OWL), we’d love to show you what we’re all about and meet you at one of our luncheons. To make a reservation, please contact: membership@owlsgroup.org.
