On their way out for an afternoon of some fun golf with the PVLN are Julie Little and Kathy Lorenz.

We are welcoming back to Arizona many of our Palo Verde Lady Niners (PVLN) players this month. So very nice to see all the ladies! Hopefully, you have read the October Splash article and viewed the photos! The information about our group is in that article. Please read it! I will do a quick recap here.
We play nine holes of golf at Palo Verde on Wednesdays after 2:30 p.m. using T-times. Occasionally we are fortunate to have a shotgun start, which we will do for our first week of play, Nov. 4. Each week we have a different game scoring format for our friendly competition. It might be counting only putts, or a scramble, or four best holes, or low gross. We add $3 cash to the “game of the day” pot for the money that some lucky ladies will win each week. And we play with different ladies each week for the opportunity to meet new friends. After playing we greet each other for social time on the PV patio. We call this our social “Tenth Hole.” Lots of bragging and complaining and some good laughs!
It is only $10 to join our group! That money is used for our parties at the beginning and end of the season and for gifts for the pros who help us organize the games. At the time of paying the membership fee you will receive a packet that explains our organization more fully and lists the type of competitive games each week. Golf fees are extra.
Most importantly, the sign-ups for each week’s play will be electronic only. When you are on our membership list you will receive an e-mail each week with a link to sign up for that Wednesday. Scoring will also be electronic on Golf Genius. During our welcome back party on Nov. 4 this app will be presented by our new Pro, Jim Sutter, who will explain the processes for scoring and do a demonstration for us. Not present on the 4th? Stop by the pro shop for help or ask one of the ladies to guide you through it. Might be a good idea to download this app before playing the first time!
We hope to see you on Nov. 4 for our first play of the season and our patio party after the game. Snacks, water, and soft drinks will be provided. Prepare yourself to have a wonderful time!
