Pastor Mark S. Brantley, Esq. and Lady Erika L. Brantley, M.Ed.
There is something special about finding a place where you feel welcomed, valued, and at home. As Greater Refuge Temple–Arizona prepares to make Sun Lakes our new church home, we are grateful for the opportunity to introduce ourselves and our ministry to this wonderful community.
Greater Refuge Temple–Arizona, affectionately known as GRTA, is a Spirit-filled Christian church with a simple mission: to share the love of Jesus Christ, teach the Word of God, and provide a place where people can grow in faith and find encouragement for life’s journey for every season.
Our theme is “A Place of Refuge in the Valley of the Sun.” We believe church should be more than a place people attend on Sunday. It should be a community where burdens can be shared, prayer is offered, and people of every generation are reminded that God still has purpose for their lives.
GRTA is affiliated with the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc., a historic Christian organization founded in 1919. Our worship is Christ-centered, our teaching is Bible-based, and our doors and hearts are open to those seeking a church home, a fresh start, or simply a closer walk with God.
Pastor Mark and Lady Erika Brantley, share a love for people and commitment to Christian service. Pastor Brantley’s journey in ministry includes law, business operations, organizational leadership, and service to families and communities. Lady Brantley’s career as a life-long educator and professional has a passion for teaching that is expressed through her love for children and family development. She currently teaches in the Chandler Unified School District.
These combined experiences have strengthened our beliefs that every season of life has meaning and some of our most significant opportunities to serve, encourage, and leave a legacy come at the time when we have accumulated the greatest wisdom. That is one reason we are especially excited about becoming part of the Sun Lakes community. We are not simply relocating a congregation. We hope to become good neighbors.
As GRTA begins a new chapter this Nov. 1, we look forward to meeting you at our worship services Sunday mornings at noon. Our regular worship services will be held in the Sun Lakes Chapel Center, with selected services and special gatherings in the main Sun Lakes Chapel sanctuary as Greater Refuge Temple–Arizona grows into this new season of ministry.
Whether you have attended church throughout your life, have been away for a while, or are simply looking for a community of faith where you can feel at home, we would be honored to meet you.
