A new golfing season is upon us. The Sun Lakes Lady Niners love to play golf. The summer hiatus is ending and the Sun Lakes Lady Niners 2026-27 golfing season is scheduled to begin on Nov. 3 at the Sun Lakes Country Club, pending any delays in the overseeding schedule of the course. A couple reminders are in order as league play begins:

* You must be a member of the Arizona Golf Association (AGA) in order to play in the league, annual member dues of $45.

* The Lady Niners Club Dues will be $25 for the year and the Game Day Fund will be $3 per game. The Game Day Fund is in addition to the green fees paid to the Sun Lakes Golf Club. The annual club dues of $25 and the $3 Game Day Fund remain the same as last year.

A “Welcome Back Brunch” in January and hosting/participation in several tournaments are highly anticipated events of each league season. The return of the snowbird members of the Lady Niners is always a highlight for the group. The Sun Lakes Lady Niners is a fun group of ladies of all ages and golfing abilities from beginners to more advanced levels of play. A different game is played each week based on handicap to provide everyone a chance to win.

The Lady Niners play golf at Sun Lakes Country Club on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. (10 a.m. during the colder months of December and January). League play runs from November through April. The monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month after golf. The Sun Lakes Lady Niners provide a very supportive and welcoming environment. Golf provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a healthy activity and develop friendships. Come join us. Please contact Linda Stimart, president, for more information at 815-298-8415.
