Norris Air is the only A/C Company in Arizona to win the BBB Torch Award for Ethics.

Ethics. Every air conditioning company claims to have them. Norris Air can quantify that they do. The Better Business Bureau awarded their 2018 Torch Award for Ethics Winner trophy to Norris Air. They are the only air conditioning company in Arizona to win this distinction. Beginning in 1973 with a small showroom, four rooms and a four-person staff, owner Paula Norris’ father dreamed to make mobile homes cool and comfortable in the searing triple-digit Arizona heat. He met with W.C. Coleman of Coleman Heating and Air Conditioning to produce a small 2.5-ton A/C unit dubbed the “Saguaro Park,” and Norris Air was off and running. According to Paula Norris, they are still servicing or replacing many of them today, 45 years later.

“Our industry has gotten a bit of a reputation as an unethical business that just looks to make a quick buck on consumers,” says Ms. Norris, “My dad instilled in his employees and in me that your reputation as a company is what makes it successful. My family’s company has grown tremendously over the last 45 years, and if we weren’t consistently ethical in our business, I am sure we would not be operating at the level we are today.” The brand-new Norris Air building on Main Street, just east of Val Vista in Mesa, is testament to the success of the business under Ms. Norris’ leadership.

The “Saguaro Park” unit was discontinued in 2012, and Norris Air now proudly uses Daikin Systems and products. Daikin offers a 12-year factory warranty on their units and is known for their high-quality and state-of-the-art technology. “We are cooling down many “man-cave” garages with the Daikin Mini-Split units,” Norris says with a smile. Norris Air services both residential and light commercial buildings. And they service most all makes and models of air conditioning units. Paula Norris is understandably proud of winning the BBB Torch Award for Ethics. But she is most proud of her staff and technicians who carry out her philosophy of ethics in service and putting their customers’ interests first, just like her dad taught her to do.
