Korean War Veterans

Rich Volpe, Chapter Commander

Our organization would like to extend our appreciation for all the support you all provided over the past year, and we’re looking forward to a fresh new start as we enter into the 2024 new era. After coming off a challenging year, things are getting back to normal, and our meeting scheduling has been firmed up. Meetings will be resuming from September through April. Get ready to mark up your new calendars, as there are a few changes as we head into the days ahead. Our first meeting of the new year will be held at the Sun Lakes Country Club in the main building, which is where the main restaurant is located. The date of the initial meeting for 2024 is on Jan. 24 starting at 10 a.m. and will be held in the Friendship Room.

The annual dues for club members are $15 and are due at the January meeting. Typically, when possible, a significant part of our agenda is the participation of a guest speaker. Over the years, those invited guests have been able to keep us updated on new benefits that become available and other sources to explore when additional help is required. Veterans of all branches of the service are always welcome. In addition to our scheduled meetings, several of our current membership meet on a weekly basis at one of our local restaurants where all are welcome. This affords the opportunity to get better acquainted with those who attend.

Being a service organization, we are well aware that we all are vulnerable to the unexpected, and accidents do happen. One of our club’s main goals is to be able to provide help and support to those in need in the best manner possible. Our doors are always open, and help is only a phone call away. Our club maintains a significant amount of medical supplies in our storage facility, which are available to those in need. Feel free to call the chapter commander regarding additional details on what we currently have in our inventory or with any other questions you may have regarding club membership. He can be reached at 480-802-2532, and he would be happy to talk to you.
