A tribute to a lady with glitz and sparkle who inspires and enlightens

Rose Pachura with her husband Dennis moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona, in 1997 from Marshall, Texas. Always involved in her Texas communities and at the state level, she became immediately involved in her new greater Sun Lakes Community and new state.

Striving to assist women to realize their highest potential, Rose started meetings of the Superstition Business and Professional Women’s Club in the greater Sun Lakes area. It was a successful endeavor, and a yearly BPW “Woman of the Year” award was given to a deserving member. Rose herself had already received multiple BPW “Woman of the Year” awards and multiple BPW “Women of the Year Achievement” awards from local, state and national levels in Texas and Arizona. She served as president for multiple years for the local chapter and as well as President of the State of Arizona Business and Professional Women’s Organization where she worked with 500 members and 40 local chapters and recruited 41 members – the highest number ever – and won a laptop computer as the top recruiter.

Not knowing anyone, she attended the first meeting of the St. Steven’s Ladies Guild in Sun Lakes, and when they announced that the office of recording secretary was vacant, Rose volunteered to fill that two-year position. A member for 20 years, Rose has served as vice president for two years, president for two years, and was Chairperson for the Fashion Show/Luncheon, the guild’s annual fundraiser. During her term as president, she increased membership numbers, established an annual St. Steven’s Ladies Guild “Volunteer Service Award” for deserving members, changed meeting times from evening to afternoon the second Monday of the month, arranged meetings at Cottonwood Country Club Ballroom during the seven months that St. Steven’s Church underwent renovations, updated by-laws under the direction of the Pastor, Father Pierre Hissey, founded the “Meet and Greet Group” that meets in the summer for the ladies to establish camaraderie of friends, old and new, generated more monies than ever before from the fashion show when Michele Fredette, owner of Calle Rose Fashions, gave the guild a $1,400 gift from boutique shop sales and, lastly, collaborated with the Diocese of Phoenix as the first woman of St. Steven’s was nominated, selected and received the St. Steven’s “Diocese of Phoenix Woman of the Year” Award for 2016-2017 from Bishop Olmsted in June, 2016, at the St Simon and St. Jude Cathedral in Phoenix.

She and her husband Dennis began attending the Polish American Club in Phoenix and volunteered to be committee members, officers and trustees of the club for 20 years and still serve on the Entertainment Committee that interviews and hires professional Polish bands well known throughout the United States, Canada and Europe for their club’s fundraising. They also founded the Sun Lakes Polish Heritage Group that served the community for 11 years.

A caring, thoughtful, creative, professional lady, Rose enjoys networking with people and shares her talents to make every project a fun and huge success. She loves fashion and glitz and has chaired and modeled for multiple groups, raising funds for charitable organizations, and when modeling, entertains the audience with her special fun rapport.

Thank you, Rose Pachura, for assisting, directing, encouraging inspiring, leading and mentoring so many women in so many communities with excellence.
