Twenty-one Sun Lakes Aero Club members and guests turned out for the club’s annual year-end potluck gathering April 21 at Sisk Park. The group enjoyed brats and hamburgers cooked by Bob Walch and Steve Perkins, plus a delicious assortment of salads, desserts and other extras contributed by members.

Those attending were Gary and Dorothy Vacin, John Philp, Jim Theobald, Karen Fischer, Wally Amundson, Steve and Mary Ann Perkins, Bob and Carol DeLong, Bob Walch, Paul and Janet Beeks, Vince and Vicki Scibberras, Dick and Donna Simmons, Roger Rempert, Jim and Suzy Thorne and Mario Carranzvo. The club will resume activities with a gathering November 20 featuring a presentation by Tracey Wolske, a passenger on the “Miracle on the Hudson” flight that landed in the Hudson River in 2009 shortly after takeoff from LaGuardia Airport in New York City.
