The entire Fire Board of the South Country District, North Country District, and the overall Arizona Fire & Medical Authority (AFMA) Fire Board hosted a community meeting in Sun Lakes recently.

Community response to the meeting was fantastic, as barely a seat was left at the San Tan Ballroom in the Cottonwood Country Club.

AFMA administration was well represented, as well, led by Chief Mark Burdick, as AFMA’s history, financial outlooks, and specialized programs, such as the wildfire firefighting and the use of drones on the fireground, were discussed.
