There is a large library with over 3000 books located at the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church. In addition to having multiple copies of the Bible and books about people, places and events in the Bible, we have books about many different religions in the world. We have books about our National Parks, the American Revolution, World War II, and we also have books and tapes of veterans sharing their stories. We also have books about animals, how to learn Spanish, how to grow plants and do home repairs, just to list a few subjects.
Our non-fiction authors include Norman Vincent Peale, C.S. Lewis, Walter Cronkite, Cokie Roberts, Marlo Thomas and Phillip C. McGraw, Ph.D.
The library’s health section has books about diet and exercise, information about medical conditions and books about vitamins, along with several cookbooks. We have recently added four books from the “YOU” series written by Drs. Roizen and Oz.
Our fiction section has over 400 works of fiction, by authors which include Jan Karon, Janet Dailey, J. A. Jance, Clive Cussler, John Grisham and Mitch Albom.
The library can be found in the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church’s administration building located near the west parking lot. The address of the church is 9248 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, and the library is open during office hours, which are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
